Aeron is a character I've played for a while now, and I have a lot of art of her in my portfolio. Her armor what I want to focus on here. When I design a characters equipment I try to figure out if its too complex or intricate for animation purposes. Her armor has been changed so much over the years but with this design I wanted to strike a balance between a more intricate and complex design with major animatable parts. Her armor now is made up of core shapes that can easily be animated. There are a few shapes to give it a more heavy look that makes it feel like true heavy armor, but the shapes themselves aren't complicated.

While the characters are a huge focus in this piece I actually spent more time on all of the props in this image. I wanted to give the picture a more hectic look to help get across the creative and frantic joy of a childhood dnd game. All the props were designed with a purpose, from the uneven fence, to the more whimsical and round dnd tokens on the table. I have a breakdown of each prop and chair below, but I wanted to show an example of my work with it all put together.
